“10-71, I repeat 10-71,” those chilling, urgent words have become more frequent in recent time. So often, America has blamed the fire arms for these tragedies, but we forget that the gun is not the one that pulls the trigger. Whereas it is visible that guns have gotten in the wrong hands, is gun control a possible solution or will it cause greater damage?

With this being said, additional gun restrictions, ammunition bans, or other gun control proposals all potentially remove ‘guardians’ from society. This causes an increase in the likelihood of the three conditions converging. This can be seen in the mass shootings that have occurred in that they have primarily occurred in ‘gun free’ zones where the likelihood of an armed protector was minimal. It 's great that it has created a safer environment for China, Japan, Germany, and other surrounding countries, but we are not Europe or Asia. We have complete different cultures, political issues, and historical content. While that may not seem like a big reason, think about this. A parent would not want their 15 year old able to get drunk and go to parties. Over there, it is completely legal for this to happen in many places. While this seems crazy to us, it is a different place with different views, as like gun control.

More than 300,000 concealed- handgun licenses were issued between October 1, 1987 and December 31, 1945, but only five violent crimes involving permitted pistols were committed in this period.
