Years ago when I was in college night classes…I purchased and began carrying a gun after [taking firearms training] sponsored by the local [police department]. It may seem odd now, but at the time, many girls [at our school] carried guns everywhere, including in classrooms. How much things have changed.
Fast forward a few years to my full-time job after college. I worked for a CEO and had a glass office next to his. I never thought about how easy it would be for someone to watch me through those windows on the late nights I often worked. Then the phone calls started, and before I knew what was happening, I was in a full-on stalking situation.

In many cases, people scare away the perpetrator with concealed weapons. An attacker will most likely back away when a weapon is presented. By presenting the weapon the attacker will rethink attacking because it will put himself in danger. Unless the attacker see’s value in risking his life to attack (activistpost.com) Although the second amendment grants people the right to keep guns in their homes for protection and sport guns control crime rates.Crime rates will rise if gun bans are passed. “To some people banning guns is the perfect solution to making the world a better place, however criminals ignore laws”. (nraila.org) Making strict gun control laws will only raise crime and put people in more danger. Thick background checks will help keep guns out of criminals’ hands through the legal gun buying process. “We licence drivers,we should licence gun owners”. The classic AR-15 assault rifle should be limited to military personnel who have special training with the weapon. Though many people use the AR for hunting, rock chucks and gofers the AR is too heavy duty for home protection. The republicans rebuttal with the statement that nothing is too heavy duty when it comes to protecting the family. Using an AR in a home invasion situation may be difficult to use in that situation due to the long barrel. A pistol would be much easier to use in tight quarters of a house. Banning assault rifles would also reduce mass shootings like the Florida night club or Sandy Hook Elementary School. Some democrats say assault rifles should be taken away from civilians to prevent mass shootings. (pbs.org) Semi-automatic pistols are key to preventing crime and protecting from home invaders. Along with the Ar-15 democrats push to pass heavy gun bans, according the Constitution of the United States the right to bear arms is unalienable. Democratic gun bans are unconstitutional.

In this particular case the government tried to put limitations changing the second amendment. The laws were restricting handgun possession in homes.
