Gun Control Argumentative Essay

In todays world there’s a chance of hearing many different opinions form Americans stating weather they believe in owning guns or not. There is also a chance when walking down the street one may hear two strangers arguing about what the second amendment actually says. We are here to take a look at both sides and possibly find a compromise between the two. The second amendment states "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed” (Chemerinsky, 26). When you read the second amendment it does clearly state the right to bear arms shall not be infringed. Another question which may be floating around could be, is there something to do? I don't think anyone has ever figured out and actual solution, nor will there be one. When allowing people to own guns there is a huge field that uses the guns for recreational uses. A huge amount of Americans are hunters love pursuing North America’s big game animals. There is the possibility that those guns are used for home protections as well. Protection reasons lead into the other discussion on why American should be able to keep their guns. Many families have a gun or two for the comfort of protection. A person could only imagine crimes rates would be on the rise. If society takes a step back to look at the big picture, there are some items that one needs to ask themselves. Who commits crimes? Criminals. Who would still own guns if they are outlawed? Criminals. Now is there a fairly clear picture as to what would happened if guns were made illegal?
