Guns are they necessary or not? The following articles are articles that are in approval of guns. The first article is writing by a Sharon Harris who president of the Advocates for Self-Government. The article gives real life stories of how guns are good to society. For example, the first story if about a 19 year of that had to use a gun on some men that were trying to home in his house to steal. He shot one of the men which made the rest of the men leave. Sharon then writes that it’s reported that gun owner’s rarely even need to pull the trigger that just having a gun can save you from the real criminals and that guns had to use 2.5 million times just to ward off criminals. She also says that woman should really consider getting a gun for protection for the percentage of rape fails thanks to having a gun is 98%. The first article is about background checks and how it will help prevent gun violence. Over 550 mayors make up the mayors against illegal guns. What they do is try to fight illegal gun trafficking and gun violence in the United States while still respecting the Second Amendment. Now it says that the background check system made from keeping people from buying guns is not working but that with the new regulations this Could Be an Effective tool in preventing gun violence this new procedure would make all the names of all the dangerous criminals be registered and all those names should be referred every time a gun is purchased. It also says that the current system is broken so there are incomplete records and loopholes in the law. Also it says that most murders take place with illegal guns that almost every day 34 people are being murdered with guns and most of them are illegal and there 's been more than 40,000 Americans killed by guns and that the system needs to be fixed to be able to protect everyone from murders and
