What is one of the most popular gummy candies around? The tasteful sensation shaped as a gummy bear was created by Johannes “Hans” Riegel, the founder of Haribo. Known as “Hans”, he created the concept of the gummy bear in 1922. He shipped the gummy bear to America in 1981 from Bonn, Germany. That idea was later developed into gummy worms by William Mederer. First he sold pasta and noodles, then many more gummy delights were created. He created a sugar coated worm that was slightly sour, and developed the company Trolli.
The making of a gummy worm is complicated to some, but simple to others. First they are sketched by an artist, and carved into a mold. Then the many ingredients are poured into a large boilers, heated, colored, flavored, and put into the molds created by the artist. They are left like that for five whole days. After that beeswax is added to them, and they are coated with sugar.

The answer to their thought is, simply to give children something fun to eat. As they do that “Hans” wanted to mildly shock the parents with the crazy tasteful treat. Whether they are healthy or not, sour gummy worms will always be a fan favorite. In a sugar addicts book they are healthy with one gram of protein. A serving size is ten gummy worms, with 130 calories total. There is no fat saturated, polyunsaturated, or monounsaturated. Thirty five is the number of milligrams of sodium within the serving. Your heart is not affected largely, because there is no potassium in gummy worms. There are only 24 grams of sugars. Today, Haribo has been voted “the most trustworthy confectioner” in Germany for the 9th year in a row. They are the largest gummy company in Germany, also the most popular. Trolli has expanded past simple flavors and designs. They sell many types of flavors besides the basics. Created with delicious tastes and very much care, Trolli originals have developed a large fan base all over European

The purpose of the experiment was to investigate the effect of the different liquids on the gummy bears. We saw how the gummy bears change color, shape, and size. What my hypothesis is that I thought all the gummy bears were all gonna shrink, but what actually happened was all of the gummy bears except for one got bigger. I think everything was fine in the experiment so nothing went wrong. Now that we experienced the experiment, I think I still have some questions like “What will happen if you leave the gummy bear inside the water for like more than one day?”…

Have you ever wonder why, if you drop a gummy bear in water, why does it grow? Well here you will find the answer to that. First of all gummy bears are made up of a sugary solution that has gelatin in it which holds solutions together to make gummy candy and the gelatin needs water to hold the solution together and the companies that make the gummy have to extract the water so the gummies can get denser and get smaller so that is why later when you put water in the gummy bear or any other candy it will expand. This experiment is sometimes called osmosis, osmosis is when something swells up to several times it size. Also when a gummy bear is grown in water it will become way less dense, the density is how there is more weight to a smaller…
