Prior to the 1990’s Gulf War, the American people did not know what was going on in the Middle East. By 1991 Americans found themselves in the midst of a war with Iraq. The main trigger for the war was oil. President Bush was hesitant of entering the war but Kuwait was a major supplier of oil for the United States.
