A major theme in The Crucible is guilt and a major theme in my life is guilt. Guilt is the fact of having committed a specified or implied offense or crime. I feel as if the past two years have been filled with this certain emotion. I had been putting my feelings before everyone else and trying to only please myself while hurting everyone around me. Some individuals may think only caring for yourself what one needs but eventually, the high you were feeling goes away. This past week, I lied to my parents about something very big and had to keep covering up my lies with more lies. Eventually, I gave in and told them everything which has put me in an absolute funk. I believe my fear was exaggerated because everyone makes mistakes and does unintelligent
