Amir guilt followed him all the way to his adult life, him not being honest with Baba and Hassan changed all their lives. Baba not being honest with Amir reflected on how he treated Hassan. Being honest is important when it comes to other people, sometimes it’s also okay not too tell the truth because the truth can hurt but when you don’t tell the truth you be holding all that and without telling someone and regret it in the end because you know you could’ve stopped some things from happening it you would’ve told the truth. Khaled Hosseini’s novel,The Kite Runner, teaches the reader that guilt and being honest can affect someone’s life in the future through Amir feeling guilty for letting Hassan getting rape and never being honest with Hassan when he asked questions, and Baba not being honest with Amir about who Hassan really was.

Being honest is important when it comes to somebody’s life, I think Baba should’ve never lied about who Hassan really was he should’ve let Amir know that Hassan was his brother so they would’ve had a bond that was unbreakable and things would’ve been different. Amir would’ve treated Hassan way different if he knew that was his brother but since Baba never said anything Amir treated Hassan like he wasn’t nothing, now that Hassan is gone Amir lives with that guilt inside him. Amir should’ve learn to never treat people wrong no matter who they are and Baba should’ve learn to always be honest. Being honest can make things so much easier, lying can make things ten times worse and can lead to guilt. It’s a lot of lessons you can learn from this
