Was Jesus a behaviorist? What about St. Paul? Identify three passages from scripture from either Christ or Paul that contain principles or themes of behaviorism. Then answer whether or not you think Jesus and Paul are behaviorists? Although Jesus was interested in the behavior of people, I don 't believe Jesus was a behaviorist, and neither was Paul, both of them were more interested in the heart, Jesus was more interested in the motives than the behavior, and that was evident throughout Jesus ' ministry. In John 4, the Bible tell us about Jesus ' encounter with the Samaritan woman at the well. Although Jesus did talk about some of her behavior regarding her husbands, Jesus was doing this to encounter her in a deeper level. Jesus was more interested in who she was, than in what she was doing. And he minister to her not by telling her to change her behavior, He was connecting with her in a deeper level, and that is why she was able to recognized tat Jesus was indeed the Messiah. She did not needed anyone else condemning her behavior. Jesus show her mercy and grace, Jesus loved her in her current situation, and she rejoice because Jesus saw past all her behavioral
