Advertisement companies want readers to look at advertisements such as this one and say, “If she looks that appealing in those clothes why would I not? I should go buy that dress to make Randy jealous he does not have the privilege of occupying my time anymore.” Ergo making one want to buy them on a whim to make themselves feel and look more alluring. Leaving the company of the product praying the purchaser does not come to the realization that no normal human being could possibly look like this. Because they enjoy eating and are not photo shopped. Ergo achieving exactly what the company desires from the viewer, revenue from consumers purchasing this product. Consequently leaving less money in the purchasers’ pocket and more in the companies’ bank account. The publisher of the advertisement should have focused on those desires. Not taken some photos and slapped a label on it expecting people to automatically know the information.
Advertisements are not to just entertain the viewer of said advertisement but to entertain while informing the viewer that this company has such and such product, you should come buy it. In other words to persuade the viewer on why they should buy this product especially compared to another product without calling a competing company
