Descriptive Essay On Guayabitos

Guayabitos is a place that is very familiar to me. It is a beach resort in the west of Mexico that my family used to go to everytime we visited our relatives in Villa Corona. It’s a pretty place with gentle waves, and hot sand, and a lot of people. There are two little islands that you can see from the shore and could be reached via boat (we visited one of the islands once, but it was full of crabs and we weren’t able to get off). I was about seven or eight years old when we went to Guayabitos for the second time. I wasn’t as familiar with the place as I am now, so it was still relatively new. My uncle and his family were joining us this time, which I was happy about. The more the merrier.
We arrived at the hotel we were staying at, the first

Of course, I said no. And then I got the genius idea of a compromise:
“What if we go to the pool first, then the beach?”
They disagreed and said that we should do the complete opposite of my plan.
Realizing that I was completely and utterly defeated, I said, “I’ll wait for you both at the pool.”
“Why don’t you just go with us?” asked Lucero, trying to peer-pressure me into conforming to her ideas.
“Because I want to go to the pool.”

We got to the pool, my sister told me if I wanted to go with them one last time.
“I’ll stay here,” I said.
“Fine,” she said, “but stay here. Don’t go anywhere else unless you want to go back to the room.”
How much of an idiot did she think I was? “I know,” I responded.
And they

And now, I was lost. And tired. It was also getting late.
So I thought it was a good idea to ask a stranger to help.
I went up to a lady and I showed her my blue plastic bracelet and asked her if she knew where my hotel was.
Luckily she was very kind and tried her best to help me. She and her mother walked with me and I felt a bit better.
She stopped me occasionally to ask me if I knew this place at all. I told her no and we kept walking. We did this several times and they walked with me for quite a while.
We finally got to a place where I recognized to some extent. The two islands were in a familiar angel. I got excited. I was ready for all of this to be done. I told the ladies that we were getting closer.
“Alexa?”
I turned around and saw my mom running toward me. I felt so relieved. We hugged, and thanked the ladies for helping me (I never did learn their names).
That day I learned that I should start listening to people who mean well. And I should start seriously questioning my judgement, and observing my surroundings better so I don’t end up getting lost again. Basically I learned that I need to be more careful. I also learned that there are people who are very kind and helpful, and I strive to be that type of
