Guatemala Stand Out: The Mayan Culture

Guatemala means the land of forest in the Maya –Toltec language since it is filled with the beauty of heavily rain forests, mountains, volcanoes and lakes. Guatemala is filled with different typyes of regions. For example there are the central highlands that seprate the Cuchumatanes Mountains from the Volcano the northern part nic ranges of the Sierra Madre Mountains. It is also filled with grasslands and tropical forest in most of the northern part of the country. There are also swampy edges, grassy farmland, beaches and rivers of the Pacific Lowlands. What makes Guatemala stand out is that is influenced by the Mayan culture for centuries by constructing buildings and pyramids. They also influenced in art, astronomy, and literature.
