Khalid was like every other teenage boy from england except for the fact he was from a muslim family. When there was little suspicion that Khalid may have been planning something because he was playing a game called Bomber One and he was muslim he was kidnapped by the CIA and taken to Guantanamo bay. I was disgusted to read how Khalid was tortured into making up things like he was a terroist so he could be arrested for terrorism. An example of this from the book is when the interrorgator says “admit it you’re twenty two and a member of al-Quada”. Khalid didn't commit any acts of terrorism but because he was born into a muslim family it made him a terrorist. Innocent men and women kidnapped and then imprisoned and tortured because they were “terrorist” when really there just from a muslim culture. Then after years of living in a 3x3m cell block they are found to be innocent and leave with mental and physical scars that will affect them for the rest of their lives.
