-Grunge: A Success Story) Well, grunge was an inspirational era of music that took place in the late 80s and early 90s or 1988-1996. It was a type of music that reflected how many young Americans had felt in an era of frustration and anger, where the things that they were taught and promised as children were not coming true for them. These types of feelings served as the basis for the genre grunge and what made it so iconic throughout the years since its “death”.
