There are many factors which do affect the growth of nails, but five main important aspects are, age, location on body, hormones, cutting and health.
One of the big aspects of the growth of nails would have to be Age, considering we get older every year. Infant nails tend to grow slower than adult nails, although, young children nails grow faster than that of an adult.
The Location of the nail depends on the growth, in saying that, fingernails grow much faster than toenails, the difference in growth is rather small.
The Cutting of the nail will cause them to grow much faster and also stronger, in some cases nail biting can cause the nail to grow as well, unless its compulsive nail biting, that can lead to infection or permanent damage to
