Growth Mindset Analysis

According to Carol S. Dweck’s article Transforming Students’ Motivation to learn, there are two kinds of students, which are fixed mindset and growth mindset. Students who believe intelligence is fixed that could not be changed by education and experience is called fixed mindset. On the other hand, growth mindset is students who believe that intelligence could be cultivated through effort and education. Thus, these two kinds of mindsets could straightly influence once ability for working. It is true that “growth mindset were much more interested in learning than in just looking smart in school,”(Dweck) because they only care how much knowledge they absorbed instead of how others opinion on them. I am a growth mindset student, as I believe that by accumulating knowledge and experience, the intelligence would grow. Therefore, I …show more content…
In other word, one does not need to work hard, because his or her ability would support one finish it easily. Thus, people who need to work hard on a work mean they do not have a capable ability. However, I never consider working hard means incapacity, because during the studious procedure, one could not only abstract much more experience from the work than others, but also finish the task discreetly, so that it would reduce a lot of mistakes. When I was in high school, I always do my homework carefully. Once, teacher gives us a simple in order to prepare the exam, and I notice that there is an error on the solution sheet. I asked my older sister for help, and finally I understand how to solve it properly. Therefore, unlike many other students who do not study the question carefully, I solve the similar question on the test correctly.
