I’ve always loved having a big brother as I had someone who could look after me and protect me yet somehow still manage to be my best friend at the same time. A memory of my big brother and I that I am very fond of happened when I was around 3 years old. For Christmas my dad had bought my mother a new, and very expensive, make up set which included all sorts of products such as lipsticks, eye shadows, blushers and mascaras which all came in a range of colours from vivid reds to dull ocean blues. As for my big brother, my parents have always pushed him to do his best in everything he has ever did in order to set the bar high for my younger brother and I, which has clearly benefited him as he is currently sitting all highers in school and is working towards passing his drivers licence. For my little brother, my parents try their best in encouraging him to do well in his school work, even though he is at that age where he refuses to listen to other peoples help as he truly believes he doesn’t need their help and is old enough to do whatever he wants. As for me, my parents only want me to do what I can and push myself to a limit in which I am comfortable with. I am thankful for this as I have never felt stressed or worried about my progress, yet I can not help but feel that I never work to my full potential and have grown up lacking the ability to fully push myself towards my goals and dreams or even out of my comfort zone.
Growing up with two brothers has its advantages and disadvantages. However thinking about my life so far, I am extremely grateful towards them for helping to mould me into the person that I am today and for making my childhood full of cheerful memories that I am always able to look back on. I am also fully confident in saying that the advantages of having brothers outweigh the disadvantaged by far. I look forward to spending the rest of my life with my brothers
