Out of all the jobs in the world, motherhood is the hardest job you'll ever love. As a mom, you're never off the clock and there's always something to be done. When you have younger children who need more help with chores, this can be more challenging. However, as they grow up, they'll be able to help themselves more. However, motherhood doesn't have to overwhelm you. You don't want to get into the habit of waiting for the next phase so you can get more rest. Soak in these moments and stay on top of things with hacks. There are tons of time-saving hacks you can try in order take care of the children and still take care of yourself.

1. Cooking Tools

Meal Prep
One of the chores that can take the longest amount of time is meal prepping. Cutting up the garlic, peeling potatoes and washing greens can take some time. Instead of doing a little bit at one time, cut and mince a bunch of garlic bulbs at once and store them away. Many groceries stores sell pre-cut onions so you don't have to do that part yourself. Find ways to enjoy shortcuts within the meal preparation and you'll be able to free up at least a few hours each week.

3. Laundry
When you're dealing with a family, laundry can pile up very quickly. The whole process can be overwhelming for someone who doesn't want to sort through bins like a crazy woman. Develop a laundry system. If you have multiple children who are close in age, begin color coding their clothes by putting marks on the labels. Two orange dots can be synonymous with one child. Three pink dots on a label can be for another kid. You can focus on completing one child's laundry one day a week. So, if you have three kids, you'll have three days of laundry to complete.
