I spent my freshman trying to become the best I could be. At first I had no rank but, at the end of the year with only three detentions and a 3.4GPA I became the Commanding Officer in my class. I was now the freshman leader and lead the example. That summer I went to ROTC camp, that only three people in my class were allowed to attend. On the last day of summer, I heard news that would affect my life next year. After my sophomore year, the ROTC program would no longer be in the school. I spent the next year still trying to do my best, my GPA went up to a 3.8, I had made the varsity drill team and I was still at the top of my ROTC class. Even though I knew what was coming at the end, I still tried to make the best of what I had. At the end of the year, I got a job that was best fit for my schedule with school. Once the last day of school came I knew the program that changed my life was no longer going to be here. At the beginning my junior year of school, I had to worry about one thing, the ACT. I maintained a GPA of 3.6 the entire school year, but my Pre-ACT score was still only at a 18. In the months prior to the real ACT I had bought a car. I had my own TV, my own cable TV, my own Xbox. While my ACT was not the best I was still enjoying my life. Then had came the news that would change my life
