Growing Up In College

Growing up, I’ve always been criticized about my weight. I use to let this affect me as a person but when I got to highschool that all changed. My freshman year, I decided if I wanted to play sports or not. I took a turn and ran cross country my sophomore year because my gym teacher, told me it would be a great thing for me to do since I had stressed about losing weight. I begin to tell people about what I had decided to do but there was this one friend of the family who doubted me. She said that because I weighed so much that I would not be able to keep up. I told her that by the end of the season that I would be a fair runner, which I was. The fact that I knew that plenty of people doubted me, and I wanted to doubt myself, I had to push forward
