Growing up in a small town and coming from a school of under 600 students allowed me to comprehend the importance of community. Volunteering is a big part of my community. I started my volunteer experience at a very young age, working at the monthly town breakfast and yearly summer festival. This provided me with a love of serving and helping others less fortunate.I continue to support the community through working with the Special Olympics, and various service clubs at my school. My desire is to continue with service throughout my college career and life. Growing up in a tight knit community also gives me a unique perspective.
