Two years ago, I was hanging out with a friend and we would go out and have fun like normal ladies in their twenties. She didn’t have a car so I would always pick her up and drop her off. The one thing that annoyed me was that she never offered to help with travel expenses. I really didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to get in an argument. When someone asks me to go out I do not hesitate to say yes; especially when there is a lot of work that needs to be done. For instance, when my friends ask me if I want to go out to eat, I say yes, but I know I have a lot of work to do. There are many ways that can stop me from being a yes woman. One thing that could work is to just say no. I know there is a lot of work that has to get done on my part, but I tend to brush it off. I do not have to go to every social gathering. Another way that it could be handle is to reschedule for a next time. I do not have to say no all the time, but I can reschedule to go out on another time when I am not busy doing work.
