Around the age of 6 I met one of my best friends, Danielle, when attending school. The two of us would play constantly together at school, however; the true play times were when we had playdates at her house. Her house was in the suburbs, therefore; families were always seen walking and together no matter the weather outside. These pictures of families …show more content…
However, I do feel like we were learning many life skills. The reason for this is because we were playing a life game. We would pretend to cook, therefore, learning how to set the table and put dishes in the skin. We were learning how to care for someone by helping them get ready for bed. I believe playing house is a great game to help children learn. They are experiencing life lessons that will benefit them as they grow up. I do believe that many of my life skills and emotional skills came from this type of play. I do believe that who I am and how I express myself in front of others and young children came from playing house. With having this belief, it makes me very happy to see young children still playing house now a days. This type of play is so important for a young children development process. Children can learn so much about themselves when physically playing with one another. I strongly believe that playing house and becoming a teacher are linked and it enjoys me to see children playing house because I see future teachers in them. I love seeing all the possibility a young child has when playing house. I hope that this type of play continues to be part of children lives for many more years to
