When i was older, I napped underneath the vanities in the dressing rooms. I sat in on most classes and rehearsals, and I was in the front row for almost every performance, even if I slept through them more often than not. Dale, I told Gary, I wish dad was here, I was there to represent dad and support his brothers and sisters and Nanny. Personally, I think my constant strive to be better at what I love to do says a lot about me and shows my determination. My parents have always said the talent will only get you so far and that hard work and dedication is what will get you all the way. Being a part of theater for about 5 years now has also taught me a lot about empathy and working as a team. Learning how to embody and live as someone else for just a little while has made me a more empathetic person outside of the theater and made me more understanding to those who live differently than I do or have different beliefs and values. Rehearsing and performing with the same group of people for 4 weeks to even a few months can bring people quite close.…

I Believe Would you believe me when i told you that a young man at the age of 16 would be on the cover of youtube’s trending page, reaching over 6 million views and then a year later start his first international tour? I joined the Chorus and the Vocal Ensemble at the high school and continued to try and better myself as a musician. My music department also offered me other musical opportunities such as festivals. I have attended several festivals such as the Lakes Region music festival and the All New England music festival. These festivals allowed me to come together with other students from different schools that loved singing and performing as much as I did. Every time I perform at one of these festivals I am overwhelmed by how beautiful music can be when everyone I am working with is just as passionate as I am about the work we are doing and also extremely talented.…

I knelt in front of the cross, water spraying off the rigid rocks. I twisted the backpack around my arm and reached for the slip of paper. I read aloud the words of my heart and placed the paper underneath the Lily I had picked from the meadow just outside of Baron. My son and I had never had the close father-son relationship I had hoped for; I had never bonded with him the way he had with his mother. I sat down against the boulder lodged between two rocks, and shut my eyes.…
