Group Reflection Paper

Throughout this whole group work, I think the best approached that worked well with our group was assigning everyone their own parts of the assignment. I think this is a good approach because if someone does not get it done than we know who to blame that part on rather than everyone doing it together and you have no clue who did what. We have had no issues on people fighting over the parts they get. If they had an issue than they should show up to the meetings to address the issue rather than not going for whatever reason. The document is shared through google docs to everyone in our group so there is no reason to why no one is not able to get their part done. We think if everyone came to the group meetings it would be a lot easier because then we could get all of our work done right there and submit it. However throughout the whole assignment this seemed impossible because it clashed with someone's schedule. It clashed with people's work schedules, classes and some people just plainly did not care about the assignment. It started to frustrate some of us because we all had our own lives as well, but we still managed to make it to the meetings. I personally stressed a lot about this assignment because I know I got my part of the assignment but waiting for others to complete theirs made it extremely frustrated because I was constantly checking the document to make sure it was done. I honestly think the communication was there because Sara and I was constantly sending out text messages reminding the rest of the group about the meeting. If someone did not show up to the group meeting we would text them with the parts they had to do. Honestly when dealing with a group I found that it is more useful when you just assign them parts rather than working as a team to complete those parts together.
