This is important when working as a team because we want to allow everyone to have the opportunity to give their insight . According to the textbook, Organizational Behavior, in-group membership occurs when “individual sense they are part of a group and experience favorable status and sense of belonging” (pg.34). Although we all have different personalities we all seem to be open to experiences, this allows us to view everyone's opinions. Being open to one another has allowed us to feel like an efficient group. The author of the textbooks talks about the “Big Five Model” which involves different personalities that are most common. The personality dimensions include: emotional stability, openness to experiences, conscientiousness, agreeableness, and extraversion. Although it is possible for an individual to acquire all of these traits, as a group we all tend to have one of these traits more than another. These traits that we possess have made it easier to assign roles to each other. As we have gotten to know and understand each other, we all tried to assign roles to each other that would would allow us to perform at our best in order to accomplish our goal of saving the world. Even before we started the game, we assigned Joanna the role of picking up and returning the game. However, this did not stop us from trying to make the game feel as much as a game as we could. We all had fun, but when it came down to explaining our views and ideas on possible moves we could take on the game, we were all very professional and attempted to use as much influence from the classroom as we could. By the end of the game we were all communicating efficiently and without a problem. Everyone was able to hear opposing ideas without an issue and we had anonymous votes, by writing either a 1 for yes or 0 for no (to eliminate our knowledge of each other’s handwriting), to allow us to truly vote without worry of being blamed for a bad
