This process should be started before the first group meeting. In order for the group to be successful there has to be a clear objective of the group and a timeline to achieve it. Clear understanding of the objective allows the group to work cohesively as a team due to each member is working together to achieve a common goal. The objective should answer the question of, "What is our goal" and "How are we going to reach it". This strategy will give the group a direction to go in for brainstorming. Three important skills that are needed when working in groups are cooperation, and leadership. When I am around a small group, I have no fear in discussing with every member, compared to when I am in a larger group where I have issues speaking with everyone. In smaller groups, it is easier for me to pay attention to everyone’s idea. My ability to pay attention have helped me become a better listener, respond to other group members ideas with full understanding. To be involved in a small group, members of that group must have the ability to cooperate.…

But the changes in the business world were inevitable, and Peter had already started coming up with ways to get ready for these changes. His knowledge and insight on the functions of organizations and management was truly ahead of his time. In the book, The Definitive Drucker, by Elizabeth Haas Edersheim, Drucker had many great ideas about the business world, and how it could be improved. Every person has different strategies when it comes to learning and working either alone or collaboratively within a group. I consider myself a doer. I take pride in diving straight into the workload and scratching something off of my to-do list. Awareness of what is happening, who is getting what done, and the accuracy of all materials being produced within a group is extremely important to me. Because of how motivated I am in a group to complete the task at hand, I am quick to give my ideas and visions for the final product which makes me the usual group leader.…

As a collaborator, my strengths were that I made sure that everything got done on time and that it was done right. My weaknesses were that I didn’t really talk to my group as much as I should have and I kind of didn’t put responsibility on anyone but myself. Group work requires talking to others, otherwise you’ll just pull all of the weight and the other group members will get a free ride. Honestly, I feel comfortable controlling the whole process of group work and have people just follow what I say so I know that things are getting done right. This is probably not good, but I don’t feel like I can trust groups because a lot of the time people don’t do what they’re supposed to.…

On Monday, May 23rd, at 3:30pm, I presented my WISE project. That day was very hectic for me because I had little time to prepare for the presentation because the past week had been "hell week" for the spring play, meaning I had rehearsals and performances all week long. It took all of Sunday to recreate the outline that I had lost when my computer broke, gather photos, put the presentation together, and create my presentation packet. So, I had no time to actually rehearse and tweak my presentation until the day of my presentation. Looking back, I wish I had budgeted my time a little better to help my presentation run smoother, however I felt that I did the best I could with the time that I had to prepare.…
