Groundhogs Day Research Paper

All year I have eaten like a pig. Vegging out on grass, bark, fruits, and plants, storing up for hibernation. Sleeping from late fall for roughly three months, I will open my sleepy little eyeballs when it’s still quite cold.
Tomorrow is February 2nd, Groundhogs Day, all about me! Every year I get so anxious. I wonder will I see my shadow or not? Will winter clad the United States for 6 more weeks, or will spring prevail? I personally shouldn't be trembulus because I have been doing this for 7 years. This year is special because it may be my last year to be “the” groundhog; next year they will be looking to replace me. I am elated to live in a nifty little den, that I dug myself. I have 5 dens, and to make each one I scooped out 700 pounds

The Yellow Brick Road is the path that leads to Emerald City, the heart of Oz. This represented the financial golden standard that led the way to the political and financial center of Oz. The reason why I think the Yellow Brick Road was yellow is because yellow is a bright colour, which is most likely why it led to Emerald City, because it is also a very bright and beautiful city. The definition of gold standard is the best, most reliable, or most prestigious thing of its type. This makes sense because the Yellow Brick Road was the best and most reliable path to get to Emerald City, and was one of the most prestigious things in the Land of Oz.…

Our society has been dealing with violence on a regular basis. In fact, violence has become a part of today’s society happening in schools, streets, homes, and even on television. The television broadcast it and we all watch it. Some shows are not so bad, and some are so gruesome, I think how do people think like this. Some are based on true stories and some are not, but the crimes did not start today, they go all the way back to the most known movie that has been made over many times, the Texas chainsaw massacre.…

I learned something new about a book that I had no idea had a deeper meaning. The movie Groundhog Day has bigger meaning then I imagined. When the movie first starts off it with the main character Phil who belittles people and has a God complex. This was great start to the movie gave us a clear insight into Phil’s life and how he treats other people. Phils way of acting in the beginning reminded me of attitude meursault had in opening of his story evil and uncaring.…

Imagine being in the depth of space fighting aliens or eating sushi in Tokyo. Picture how the old west would be or how Neverland is during the winter. If I had the chance to go anywhere, real or imagined, now or anywhere in time, I would consider going to a couple different places like: a tropical forest, the future, a different world, the past, a different universe. But if I could only choose one place, I would like to go to a place where anything can happen, where all your dreams come true, a place called Horrorland.…

“People are going to label you. It’s how you overcome those labels, that's what matters.” That is a quote from what is personally my favorite show ever, One Tree Hill. It shows how you can change what people think of you, and to be yourself in all circumstances. One Tree Hill was recently taken off Netflix, and there isn't really a reason, but it needs to be put back on because so many people watch it, many love it, and it is a life lesson filled, relatable show.…

When she came to the opening, she saw that the children that were not there with her to begin with were standing together and not running. Some were getting yelled at, but they didn’t say a word in response as if they were unable to speak, and Blur knew that they were. West Side Story, which is a great film and for a lot of people one of their personal favorite movies of all time and I guess would be my favorite musical film since I haven’t seen very many. Why do I kind of like this film? Because it’s a film with high energy, great actors, some good songs, pretty good dance numbers, and an alright love story, which I’m not that much of a fan of love stories but it was a pretty good one. West Side Story which is an updated Romeo and Juliet story, is in the many streets Manhattan, New York.…

One rainy day, as a young girl I woke up to go to school, I kindly asked my mother to walk me to school but my busy mother could not manage to do so. Regardless of my mother not walking me to school; I did not hesitate to go to school. I took all my belongings and took off, the friends that always waited for me had already left so I had to go alone. If only my mother just realized that giving me just little of her time, and walked me to school would not have impacted my life the way it did, she could not have made other things seem more important than her family. On my way to school, I was assaulted sexually/physically by a drunk older male.…
