Donna services would be developing a strategic plan and helping the organization figure out problems and how to solve them. Donna has written federal, state, city and private foundation grants. Here are the grants the District wants to apply for or this is what we need and can you help us find possible grants to apply for. The Board needs and The Board’s history, specifics research what is available, requirements online, federal grants. Grant writers charge a high hourly rate. The Pump Class in November will be 16 hours classes. Headquarters is hosting the Pump Class. The Fire 1 members needs to pay out of pocket for Classes and will be reimbursed after completion of the course or when they pass the course.

TREASURER’S REPORT: Treasurer Bartley stated The District is in good standing with 1.4 million in the bank. The District has 200,000 in tax collections to date. The District should plan accordingly with buying any big ticket items. The Webster Bank is not eligible for the bill pay dued to the fact that Blue Hills Fire District change the name to Blue Hills Volunteer. The point system will be done every 6 months.

CAPTAIN’S NELSON REPORT: Captain Nelson stated the Rip and Run System is almost in place. The District purchased 3 printer/fax machines for all 3 stations. Craig Strull of Founder’s Tech has linked the printer and fax machine to Station 3 and Station 4. Station 4 internet service was a residential service, which needed to be upgraded to commercial service. The Rip and Run part 2 system also has a display to move in. There is a serious lighting problems at Station 3. The originals contractor Lupachino/Salvatore used crappy light fixtures which needs to be replaced. The areas of replacement for lights are the front of Engine 3 bay, front bay and rear ramp, back of firehouse and the flag pole and the doorway entry. Captain Nelson

The Bloomfield Raiders are doing a fund raiser for Cancer Awareness and are asking if BHFD can make a donation. Community Outreach attended a Senior Expo on September 29, 2015, from 9:45 to 13:00 hours. Community Outreach with the BVA and the police department came together for a Community Day hosted by Home Depot where the kids were able to participate in a work shop. On October 6, 2015 Community Outreach did a fire safety presentation at the Bethel A. M. E. Church. FF Jaunai met with WDRC in regards to launching a warmth drive to be hosted in December. The radio station 102.9FM will advertise the warmth drive and Brad Davis will be present. Burlington Coat Factory invited us over for a community safety day on October 17, 2015. Wintonbury and The Bloomfield Center Fire Department are also
