My SWOT
After this course, I am able to address my strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of resolving a conflict in a different situations. Now, to analyze all of those different elements, I would first address my judgement styles.
My judgment style
My judgment style is the Directing Style. I like to find the positive outcome to any conflicts. The concept of Directing Style is: ‘I win and you lose’. The strategies of Directing Styles are: “Assert, control, compete, persuade, insist, demand and repeat, attack. As leader, give orders, discourage challenges, cite policy, set limits and consequences, instruct” (Style Matters).
I do not have the same style face to every situation. I avoid headed discussion. I balance between

Their conflict was complex. Many people have been involved between them in the past. My involvement solved the problem. Till now, there is no conflict between them. I used the rational approach to solve that conflict. If I was emotional during that conflict management, the outcome could be catastrophic.”
I believe in rational approach in the conflict management. I do not frequently use the emotional approach in resolving the conflicts. I have now one of friends in a conflict with his wife. I know both of them. Their conflict can be considered as a lingering conflict since it is a recurring conflict and since it lasted for a long time. Many people have tried to resolve their conflict without success. I have once tried it without success. Maybe the approach I used at that time was not appropriate. I would to try to resolve the same conflict now based on the knowledge I have learned from this course.

Introduction Recently Dakota Access pipeline is running the headlines. Native American tribes and their partners, drove by the Standing Rock Sioux, have been challenging the Dakota Access pipeline, a venture that would transport oil from the Bakken oil fields in North Dakota and Montana over the Plains to Illinois. The nonconformists, numbering in the thousands and including individuals from several distinct tribes, contend that finishing the pipeline would profane hereditary grounds, undermine the water supply, and unjustifiably trouble the Standing Rock Sioux tribe, which is probably not going to profit by any financial advancement that goes with the venture. Energy Transfer Partners, the enterprise behind the pipeline, recommends the venture…

As Helen Keller once said, “Keep your face to the sunshine and you will not see a shadow.” This can also mean that the most effective way of getting through a crisis is to have a positive outlook, and not to focus on the negatives. In Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl — a series of journal entries that Anne Frank wrote while she and her family were hiding from the Nazi regime — Anne attempts to have a positive attitude no matter what the circumstances. She fought for her own life and for her loved ones’ lives, and her mental strength is one reason why she made it as long as she did. If she hadn’t looked on the bright side, despite her bleak situation, she would've never had the faith or will to survive.…

The Team Management style is based on tasks and relationships. I consider myself more tasks orientated and analytical, while spending less time with my subordinates’ personal issues.…
