Grizzly Hunts

Decent Essays
The way the grizzly hunts is so remarkable is because in reality the grizzly doesnt actually hunt for food it scavenges for it. The grizzly diet is nuts, fruit, plants, and bugs and on occasion dead animals.
The only time the bear hunts is when salmon mating season is prime. When salmon mating season is prime the salmon head up stream and the grizzly likes to eat them when they head up stream. That is what makes this animal so unique. The grizzly has a quite strange behavior. When the grizzly gets old the male grizzly becomes very solitary and likes to wander on its own. The females like to live in groups but only with her cubs. Even though they become solitary, they end up living where they were born or where another family member lives.

ALTHOUGH RESEARCH CONFIRMS that the whitetail rut takes place at almost the exact same time every year, most hunters know that the rut’s intensity varies from day to day. As much as your head spins with the mental images of scrapes, full moons, rubs, monster bucks, and rut-crazed chase scenes, the best times to be in the woods will rarely coincide with calendar anniversaries. Through years of personal experience and research gathered from other hunters, Cory Wiedel is one of the most accomplished whitetail hunters. He has taken 11 Boone and Crockett– class bucks in the past six years, and he places a priority on going after his scouted target bucks only when he recognizes that the conditions are favorable. “There are certain weather-related…

Mirta Ojio’s book Hunting Season, Immigration and Murder in an All-American Town is based on a true story of an immigrant’s murder that turned a small American town on Long Island village of Patchogue into a war zone for immigration rights. In this critical reflection paper, I will discuss and analyze three key issues or themes that were represented in the Hunting Season and elaborate how these concepts connect with those of Governing Immigration through Crime by Dowling and Inda. The first concept is that of the Membership Theory, a theory which “limits individual rights and privileges to the members of a social contract between the government and the people” (Dowling & Inda,2013). The Membership theory often marks out boundaries of who is an accepted member of society and who isn’t, which was demonstrated in Hunting Season when Marcelo Lucero traveled from Ecuador to Long Island.…

This issue is in the news because the province of Manitoba is trying to follow what Saskatchewan did back in 1998 but it is very tough to ban something that falls under someone’s tradition. The province is trying to work with both sides to come up with a solution but has not yet announced the decision they have come too. This issue is very hard to resolve because the right of night hunting for Indigenous people falls under the Constitution Act of 1982, stating that as long as the night hunting is done safely and is on the reserve, unoccupied crown land or private land with permission from the land owner then it is legal.…
