I respect you perspective Omari, but I disagree with you. I think Griselda should have been so obedient and passive because that's part of her being. It did not matter that the Lord Walter attempted to kill her kids, she should have simply reminded tranquil after all and just obey.Remember that her father domestically raised her to obey.That is at some point part of her cultural values. We can not judge her perspectives because that's her unique frame of mind based on her medieval experiences.Even though Griselda felt humiliated due to the Marquis Walter's inhuman actions, she should always felt grateful of her marriage.She must always follow her values and respect Walter's actions because that was the appropriate conduct of a peasant wife.
