Whenever you ask anyone to name a drug lord they are more likely to name El Chapo Guzman, Pablo Escobar, Frank Lucas, or Ismael Zambada. People often fail to mention the Black Widow, no I am not speaking about the spider, I am referring to Griselda Blanco. She is the drug trafficking queen from Colombia who trafficked cocaine and killed her enemies and husbands for power and revenge. In order to better understand Blanco it is important to know more about her childhood and find out what led her to her massive killings and life of crime. Throughout my paper I will be explaining why Griselda Blanco's crime history is a great example of both social process and social conflict theory.
