Pizza or pot pie? Pizza or pot pie? Why not both? Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Co., also known as just Oven Grinders, is known for it’s famous pot pie pizza. Located in Lincoln Park at 2121 North Clark Street the building that is home to Oven Grinders has seen a lot throughout the year. Unknown to the owners themselves, no one can pinpoint a time that the three story brick building was built. According to the restaurant themselves the building has some Victorian architecture on the exterior of the building. On February 14th, 1929, the building saw the St. Valentine Day Massacre happen right across the street. The restaurant even said that there is a rumor that the building was a lookout point for some of the Valentine gunman that day.
