The Brothers Grimm

Wilhelm and Jacob Grimm opened their notebooks and wrote down the original story of Cinderella. What they didn’t know was that it would be changed and read all over the world by young children and inspire them. For ages we thought we knew these wonderful, bright and happy fairy tales, but they were a lot darker than they appear to be today.

In the original story of Cinderella, or the original title The Little Glass Slipper, a widowed prince had a daughter and named her Zezolla, who is tended by a beloved governess. The governess with Zezolla’s help persuade the prince to marry her.

The Grimm Brothers wrote most of the fairy tales we know too, but very different from the magical stories we enjoy today. Another story
