Grilled Rustic's Website Analysis

Improved Essays
The purpose of this report is to analyse the Redwater Grilled Rustic’s restaurant website. The analysis was done by using several scholarly articles that is related with the credibility of the website. These articles were taken using the University of Calgary’s library database. The ideas taken from the scholarly articles was then being compiled under several main themes such as navigation, the effective used of graphics, the effective used of colours and text. Furthermore, the usability study was conducted during the class session on July 28th, 2016. The results in usability test help in making the analysis. This report is mainly dividing into four parts that are introduction, analysis, conclusion and recommendation. Meanwhile, the analysis part was then divide into another four parts such as navigation, graphics, colours, and text. These are the main idea that being used in the analysis.

The navigation of Redwater Grilled Rustic’s website is said to be less efficient because there are too many steps needed for user before they reach at the menu list section. This issue caused user to move on with another website. Furthermore, through the usability study, almost 80% people agreed that the website is failed in

The website used an image as the background layout. The size of image is too big and lead into a longer time taken to load the page. In addition, the website failed to provide images together with their menu list. This makes user feels confuse and less appealing with the website. However, the recommendation made so that the web designer will change the size of image used on the website. This is because from Kasavana (2002), the smaller size of image is preferred as it can reduce the time taken to load the webpage. Furthermore, the menu list should includes images as it will makes the website looks more appealing and increase the credibility of the
