In my opinion, Oedipus blinding himself is more heroic than Jocasata committing suicide. I am sure people think different ways, but I think Oedipus had more difficult time than anybody. Suddenly, he got to know all truths and the truths were very strong. Even if he did not mean to kill his biological father, the result was that he killed his father. The definition of love at first sight is that man and woman fall in love quickly without knowing each other very well. Sakuntala liked King Dushyanta because he was polite and he had a good manner.
