One can only imagine the amount of work done to complete and document the Canada’s Food Guide to Healthy Eating. I do think that such a guide would be very useful with in Grenada and throughout the Caribbean. I believe, however, that its successful implementations would take some serious work with in the Caribbean. Not only are the seniors uncooperative with eating healthy; but the uneducated as well as persons from different ethnic backgrounds, who’s tenacity towards particular food and eating habits may seem almost impossible to …show more content…
Due to the economic status and under- paid rate there are hardly a nutritionists or dietician living on the island to promote and accomplish such a task. Therefore because of the tenacity of most Grenadians change is hard to come by when it is necessary to eat differently.
Response 2: As we all know Most Grenadians do not even look at the expirery dates on produces before buying. Labels or packaging are not given that much interest. Because most of our foods are imported, Grenadians are more convinced to buy produces by advertisements which promote affordable prices and delicious taste. Therefore this implementation would not be effective.
Response 3: It is true that a person would find it hard to change from a pattern that they have grown use to and accepted. Therefore this program would not work in Grenada because it would be very costly to implement, finding the right professional and equipments, and not everyone would want to part take in such a programs due to either emotional or physical
