It is a warm, sunny day with a slight breeze in the air. You hear the sound of laughter, the sound of bicyclists riding by, the sound of running feet on the paved trails. You see the lush Cypress, Oak, and Pecan trees garnishing the trails as you go by. You can smell the wildflowers growing in the fields, and sometimes, you can even see the wildlife on quiet mornings or evenings. It is a beautiful place to relax, ride, hike, run, or just get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. With 47 miles of developed greenway trails open to the public, one has their pick of any of the Greenway trails along San Antonio’s creeks. It seems that a convicted felon, who was only out of jail for a few months, was accused of stabbing the young woman to death. This may be seen as a one-time crime, but many runners run with one earphone in and one out just as a precaution. Some residents say they never felt danger when biking through the trails, but they are onboard with more security measures being put in place. If that wasn’t enough, another murder was reported in May 2014 when a body was discovered in the creek that sits next to the trail. In October, a man was found shot to death along the trail

As a new member of the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, I have been assigned to do a GPS survey and a GIS analysis of the Kennedy Valley Trail (Sam Rayson Valley Trail) for the purpose of the development of the trail as there are no amenities in the trail. To get a general idea of how things are placed in a trail, I did a pre-survey on the trail west of Kennedy Rd. (Etobicoke Creek Trail) and found that it was quite undeveloped as well. Below is the data of how many light posts there are and the steps between.…

More Canadians than ever seem to prefer flying out of U. S. airports to reach their destinations. This is largely due to the cost efficiency of catching a flight from a facility such as SeaTac Airport instead of a Canadian airport. If you are driving to SeaTac to catch a flight, you probably wish to find a parking facility with affordable rates, and you’ll certainly want to be sure that your car is left in a safe place. Like countless fellow Canadians, you may well appreciate the low prices, convenience, and other benefits of leaving your vehicle at an off-site SeaTac Airport parking lot, such as Aeroparking’s Park & Fly lot. Quick Access to SeaTac Airport One of the top benefits of long-term parking with Aeroparking is the quick trip…

For my second passport voyage I went to Lower Bidwell Park, specifically Sycamore Pool. Since I am currently sick, I decided I wouldn’t go for a swim. Instead, I threw a blanket down, got my homework and speaker out, and eat some chips while enjoying what nature has to offer. When arriving at the park, I noticed the park's surroundings was sketchy because of the amount of homeless people, but other then that, I thought the park was spectacular and calming. I come from a desert, nothing about my valley screams nature, so going to one mile was definitely a new experience.…

My family and I have visited Brackenridge Park for many years now, beginning from a time where my line of vision extended only a few feet off the ground to the beginning of my time at university. Granted, my height might not have changed much, but time certainly has. Brackenridge Park easily surpassed the dreaded McAllister Park (dreaded because as a child, I hated nothing more than spending hours walking through the never-ending park in the middle of the burning heat that Satan himself would have gladly called his home) as my family’s go-to park. Even now as I sit here in the grass in a secluded area underneath a tree, I cannot help but think of my relationship with this park, a park who, like my parents, has watched as I grew up to become…
