The EPA projects that if we continue to emit carbon dioxide into the atmosphere at our current rate the average temperature in the United States will increase by at least 3 degrees Fahrenheit by 2100. Sea levels will rise by at least two feet, flooding low lying communities, and Alaskan permafrost will begin to thaw.
