Continuing with the theme of memory, Trent struggled with these tasks. It quickly became apparent that he has lagging skills in regards to short term memory, the inability to implement strategies such as chunking and, he did not formulate a plan before completing a task (drawing from memory). This can be troublesome in the classroom as a student is expected to hold, and then retrieve information rapidly, with little visual cues and the need to filter out extraneous stimuli. The extent of this difficulty was noted…

At Misericordia University and in surrounding communities, promotion of occupational therapy can be applied through several methods. By promoting the practice of occupational therapy through different methods, individuals will be able to gain an understanding of what occupational therapy services truly aim to offer. The first way that Pi Theta Epsilon can help to promote occupational therapy within the community is to hold a workshop at Misericordia about a particular impairment that affects not only students, but also individuals in the community. One particular impairment that can affect an individuals’ activities of daily living (ADLs) and engagement in their valued occupations is low vision (Arbesman, Lieberman, & Metzler, 2014). In this paper, I will discuss the Problem of Induction and the Principle of Uniformity of Nature’s solution (PUN), proposed by David Hume. Another element of this paper will explore Nelson Goodman’s New Riddle of Induction that derives from Hume’s hypothesis. In addition to that, I will also recount why PUN is insufficient/problematic to justify induction according to Goodman, along with a couple examples of premises that will better demonstrate the issue. There are two types of reasoning – deductive and inductive. Deductive states that the premises guarantee the conclusion.…

Many students are unable to cope with certain situations or tasks sufficiently and require some assistance to achieve or resolve their problems. The severity of their disability also plays a role in the variety of the services that a particular student may require. The job positions in special education include a variety of services that assist special need students with achieving their short and long term goals.…

Introduction: The Model of Human Occupation is a commonly used model in occupational therapy practice. Although I have learned about this model in different classes, I wanted to learn more about it on my own to further understand about the use of it in practice. This being said, I chose a quantitative research article on MOHO.…
