Green technology inventions and innovations are becoming wildly more popular due to the drastic increase in global warming. Green technology is technology whose use is intended to lessen or reverse the effects of human activity on the environment. The green technology revolution started with Nazareno Strampelli, who was an agrarian geneticist during the 1920’s and 1930’s. Strampelli helped increase the production of agriculture worldwide; especially for third-world countries. The innovations were related to agriculture: such as chemical based fertilizers, and water supply. The first country to have a green revolution was Mexico, followed by Philippines, and India.

The issues that started the whole green technology movement was the massive changes in global warming. The issues in which societies face due to the changes in global warming are the future for the environment, the natural habitats for wildlife, and a majority if not all industries worldwide. Another example of how global warming will effect society will be the costal cities that will be under water due to the rise of global sea levels.
