Green Team Beautification Program

Improved Essays
Last year, Green Team attempted to start a Beautification program in order to clean the excessive garbage in school parking lots and surroundings. However, it was not very successful as not many people showed up. This year, I took over the handling of the Beautification program because I noticed that the garbage often piles up in the surroundings and does not get cleaned up. Beautification occurs once every month, where members show up and go out into the surroundings and use tongs to properly dispose of garbage into appropriate garbage bags. I asked people to sign up at the very first Green Team meeting, and we already had beautification take place in September. It was a success as around 20 people attended and helped with the cleaning process.

The GatesburgGoGreen Initiative is a great idea but also a somewhat bad idea at the same time. Both articals bring up good/valad points. The GGG Initiative is great because it will bring up the recyceling rate substantionally, but there is a point that you shouldn't crosswhen it comes to survalance of the waste. The GGG Initiative is great because it will decrease landfill by a lot, which is a fantastic idea seeing that we have a lot of un-nessisary waste. There are a lot of people that dont understand how to recycle correctly and the GGG program can fix it and teach people what goes where so that we can save our planet for a little bit longer.…

It is impossible for the youth to escape Earth’s contaminated environment, which will be their harsh reality for decades to come. Maintaining an eco-friendly lifestyle is nearly impossible in today’s world due to society’s constant industrialization and innovations. However, it is possible to significantly reduce the level of mistreatment and strain induced on Canada’s ecosystems. Within the St. Brother Andre community there is no active club protecting the environment for future years even though as Catholics we are called to protect God’s creation. Although all schools produce litter and waste resources, it is possible for the school community to be more environmentally friendly by creating a group that continually strives for reducing their…

With this I decided that I wanted to pick up the trash that laid there because of how much fun I had when I was kid.…
