The green sea turtle, also known as the Chelonia mydas, get their name from their colour of their body fat, which is green from the algae that they eat. A green sea turtle has a hefty carapace, which is also the most noticeable part of the animal (Green Sea Turtle - National Wildlife Federation, 2017). Green sea turtles have a compressed body beneficial in swimming in the open seas of the domain.
