The Green Party of Canada strives to demonstrate the importance of our values by practical expression, in the organization and practices of the party. Our platform is organized around 3 key issue areas: climate change, green energy, and taxation.
The position in the Green Party for the environment and climate change is to help and create a better environment for our country, cleaner air and clearer skies. I ( the leader of the Green Party ) specifically promise that we’re gonna help to establish lower carbon gases throughout all the provinces of Canada. Also helping to end fossil fuels at a federal level. Our role in the Green energy industries is to collaborate with the renewable light, wind, and water energy industries to help us grow and bring us a single step closer to a pollution free environment. We want to build 20% more wind turbines, and help the solar industries reach their goal of installing 5 GWp by the …show more content…
The Green Party is focused on making taxation fair, efficient and effective. A carbon tax would be charged on things that emit carbon dioxide, like gasoline, natural gas and coal. Pricing these emissions creates an incentive to reduce them. Overall, The Green Party is focused on widening the income gap and trying to increase the number of people who are trapped in the low wage economy.
Take a look at what we are proposing to build a Canada that works together, but don’t stop there. We need to be asking questions of how we will work in the next parliament in partnership with all parties to do what’s best for Canadians and our country. Then ask the other leaders those same questions. You deserve answers – promises are just not good enough. As Leader of the Green Party, I want to work for citizens to be heard. I want to work to help those in need, and support small business and local communities as we grow
