Green Marketing is defined as marketing products and services based on environmental factors or knowledge or perception of a situation. Furthermore, green marketing companies make decisions connected to the entire process of the company 's products, through methods of processing, packaging and distribution (Investopedia, 2016).

I would say the global warming hoax would benefit more companies to engage in green marketing as a way to further enhance protecting and preserving the environment. Furthermore, I would look at this as an opportunity for many companies to gain more awareness from consumers in how they aim to excel at implementing ways in which to decrease harmful pollutants and waste into our atmosphere. Green marketing highlights the many areas in which businesses take to protect the environment such as through reduced waste in packaging, increased energy efficiency use in products, or decreased release of toxic emissions or other pollutants into our atmosphere. Furthermore, more response is being noted in the consumer 's growing demand for environmentally friendly products in many ways, such as the introduction of new products that excel in sustainability, or re-designing existing products to meet the needs of environmental friendly attributes. This company is highly successful in its efforts to go green and promote overall well being of individuals all over the world. Furthermore, their simple idea of wanting to give back has now evolved into something grand and powerful for their business. It all started with wanting to help children who endured many hardships growing up without shoes. Therefore, the founder aimlessly wanted to help, so he created TOMS Shoes, a company that would match every pair of shoes purchased with a new pair of shoes for a child in need. One for One. Now, his idea has advanced way beyond shoes and now into providing ways in which to promote and increase the need and advance health, education and economic opportunity for children and their communities around the world. TOMS mission goes over and beyond basic help. They are now instituting help in areas of shoes, eyewear, clean water, and safer births.
