What animal lives in the rainforest, lies in the sun with its friends, and often eats salad for lunch? That’s right, the Green Iguana! The Green Iguana’s physical characteristics help it to escape from being caught by predators. They are reptiles that live in warm, tropical climates unless they are a pet or live in a zoo. The Green Iguana’s characteristics make it well adapted to its natural environment.
The Green Iguana lives in the rainforests of Northern Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean Islands, and southern Brazil. They can live in trees along rivers and lakes where food is plentiful.
