Green Energy Paragraph

Green energy is a well known energy source in many countries such United States, China, Germany, and Spain. Green energy comes from natural sources such as sunlight, wind, and geothermal heat. The earliest use of green energy dates back to 2000 BC when coal mining was used by the Chinese. They would burn the coal as a source of heat and cooking. In the first century, China was also the first to use refine petroleum for energy source. Then later in the tenth century, windmills were built in Persia to pump water, grind grain, and crush sugarcanes. Years upon years, many countries discovered the use of natural sources as a source of energy and heat. Not all places are as windy, sunny, or radiate geothermal energy. Yet, every inch of the country does not need to be taken over by geothermal power plants, wind farms, or solar panels. It is also said that even if certain states aren’t sunny, the solar panels are still able to absorb the sun’s rays. Also, it is obvious that geothermal power plants and windmills will not be installed in certain areas that don’t have much geothermal heat and wind. If there is a good amount of places with green energy systems, it could still save a lot of money. “The largest share of electricity generated by renewable sources in 2015 came from hydroelectric power (46%), followed by wind (35%), biomass wood (8%), solar (5%), biomass waste (3%), and geothermal (3%). In 2015, for the second year in a row, solar, wind, and other non hydro renewable energy sources combined to generate more electricity on an annual basis than the amount of electricity generated by hydropower,” (eia.gov). This quote further explains how much energy green energy provides for our country. It may seem as if we do not produce a lot of energy from green energy but with the production of more power plants, windmills, and solar systems, America could save more than we spend on
