“Tory!” shouted Smith. “What?!” bellowed Tory as he whipped his head around to stare at him. “We’ve arrived,” whispered Smith. Tory looked at Smith suddenly more interested. “Who are we here for?” asked Tory intently. “Two,” whispered Smith. “Girl and boy, parents died last week.” Tory sat back in his chair, flipping through pictures of children with a sceptical look on his face. He stopped at a picture of a family. It was a mother and father with two young children by their sides. He stared at the family for some time. “Smith, I've got a good feeling about these two. They're different from the others.” He sat in his chair, he leaned back and thought for a minute. Suddenly he looked at Smith and said,

“Samantha meet Captain Tory,” said Tommy with a smile. “He’s going to take us to another place where we are safe.” “We aren’t going nowhere with no one,” snapped Samantha. She stared down at Tommy’s crestfallen face and she said, “well maybe we can go.” Tommy face perked up. Samantha turned to Captain Tory. “Now who are you and where are we going?” She demanded. “Now young Samantha we are going to the Island of the Forgotten. There are many other children there and it is a place of serenity and happiness,” replied the captain. “Now we must hurry off, it is getting late.” Tommy, Samantha and Captain Tory slipped out into the now dark streets. They followed the captain along the back roads. Suddenly, crash! Tommy tripped and went crashing into a stack of barrels. “Tommy!” Samantha called, her voice laced with fear. “Are you okay?!” When Tommy didn't answer her cries became more urgent. She couldn't lose him. She shook him by the shoulders, calling out his name. The captain bent down next to her and whispered. “Tommy, It's time to wake up.” Tommy stirred and then his eyes fluttered open. Samantha looked at him
