Greek Poseidon: Neptune In Roman Mythology

Poseidon, known as Neptune in Roman mythology was the Lord and ruler of the sea; the Mediterranean and the Friendly Sea (the Euxine, now the Black sea). He is one of the twelve Olympian deities of the pantheon in Greek mythology. Additionally he is referred to as “Earth Shaker” due to his role in causing earthquakes. Poseidon was the second son of titans Cronus and Rhea. In most accounts he is swallowed by Cronus at birth but is later saved, with his other brothers and sisters, by Zeus. THE SHARE OF THE WORLD
